When we randomly met in Milan through a mutual friend (forever grateful, Riccardo!), we didn’t exactly think we stood a chance. At the end of the day, Chiara was based in Milan and Brayan was in Dubai, not exactly what you’d call an easy commute.
After a month together in Italy, when Brayan’s remote work came to an end, we tried to make the rational decision to just stay friends. Looking back, following our hearts instead and giving us a real shot was the best decision of our lives!
We braved the long distance for the first year, catching flights every other week just to see each other. We spent far too many nights in airport floors, but it was a wonderful excuse to travel the world together and with our favorite people.
We eventually realized we were done with saying goodbye at boarding gates. When the opportunity for Chiara to move to the UAE materialized, she took the leap and finally, it was chega de saudade ❤️
Living together only confirmed that every sacrifice had been worth it. That happiness eventually led to Brayan proposing not once, but twice! (We wish it hadn’t involved a stolen engagement ring, but that’s a story for the open bar...)
We can’t wait to celebrate our love surrounded by all of you in Sorrento, a place that is so special to both of us.
